See "Third-Party Data Sources" below for a complete list.

- To personalize your experience and remember your preferences
- To send notifications about tasks, reminders, and service updates
- To enrich your property and vehicle profiles with publicly available data

AI-Powered Features
Homi uses Google Gemini AI to power several features. When you use these features, relevant data is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing:
- Task & Service Request Parsing: Text you enter when creating tasks or service requests is analyzed to extract structured details (category, priority, dates). We strip personally identifiable information (phone numbers, email addresses) before sending text to the AI.
- Document & Receipt Scanning: Photos of documents or receipts you choose to scan are sent to Gemini for data extraction (dates, amounts, coverage details).
- Ask Homi Assistant: Questions you ask the Homi assistant are processed by Gemini along with relevant knowledge base content and your property/ vehicle data to generate personalized answers.
- Property & Vehicle Insights: Gemini generates insights about your home (e.g., component replacement timelines based on home age) and vehicle (e.g., maintenance schedule recommendations based on year, make, and model).
- Service Provider Analysis: Provider reviews are analyzed by Gemini to generate sentiment scores and match explanations.
AI-generated responses are cached temporarily (up to 10 minutes) to reduce redundant processing. Google processes this data according to their Gemini API Terms of Service. Gemini API data is not used by Google to train their AI models.

When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed from our servers, including all uploaded files, documents, and photos across all storage locations. This process is irreversible.
Household Sharing
If you share your home with household members through Homi, those members may view property data, tasks, logs, and documents associated with the shared property based on the permissions you grant them. As the property owner, you control what each member can access. When a member is removed from a shared property, their access to that property's data is revoked.
