Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Homi application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

Description of Service

Homi is a home and vehicle management application that helps you track maintenance tasks, service logs, expenses, documents, projects, and schedules. Homi also provides AI-powered features including task parsing, document scanning, service request assistance, and a conversational assistant. The app is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use.

User Accounts

• You must sign in using a valid Google or Apple account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your profile.
• You may not use another person's account without permission.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality
• Upload malicious content or spam
• Reverse engineer or decompile the application

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create in Homi (tasks, logs, notes, photos). By using the app, you grant us a license to store and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Intellectual Property

The Homi app, including its design, logos, and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our written permission.

Third-Party Services & Data

Homi integrates with third-party services to provide property intelligence, vehicle data, AI-powered features, and service provider information. By using Homi, you acknowledge that:

• Google Gemini AI processes your text and photos to power task parsing, document scanning, service request triage, the Ask Homi assistant, and property/vehicle insights. Google's Gemini API Terms apply to this processing.
• Google Places provides service provider discovery, details, and reviews. Google's Terms of Service apply.
• Government data sources (FEMA, NWS, Census Bureau, FBI, EPA, NOAA, NHTSA, NREL, USDA, CPSC, Fuel Economy API) provide public data used to enrich your property and vehicle profiles. This data is sourced from publicly available government APIs and is provided as-is without warranty.
• Google Calendar API enables two-way calendar sync for tasks, bookings, and service requests when you connect your Google Calendar.
• Walk Score provides walkability, transit, and bike score data for your property location.
• County property records (NYS GIS, NYS Socrata) provide publicly available property assessment data for applicable counties.
• Supabase provides our database, authentication, file storage, and serverless function infrastructure.
• Sentry provides error monitoring and crash reporting.
• Resend delivers transactional emails on our behalf.

Homi is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or completeness of third-party data. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. If a third-party service is unavailable, affected features may display incomplete data or be temporarily unavailable.

AI-Generated Content

Certain features in Homi use artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, insights, and responses. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice. Specifically:

• Property insights and maintenance suggestions are estimates, not professional inspections.
• Cost estimates for service requests are approximate and may vary from actual costs.
• Vehicle maintenance schedules are general recommendations, not manufacturer-specific guidance.
• The Ask Homi assistant provides general information, not professional home or legal advice.

You are solely responsible for decisions regarding your property and vehicle maintenance. Always consult qualified professionals for significant home or vehicle work.

Household Sharing

You may invite household members to share access to your property data. As the property owner, you are responsible for managing member permissions. Members you invite will have access to property data based on the permissions you grant. You may revoke a member's access at any time. Homi is not responsible for how household members use shared data.

Disclaimers

• Homi is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
• Maintenance reminders and AI-generated suggestions are informational only; you are responsible for your property and vehicle maintenance decisions.
• Third-party data (property records, environmental data, vehicle recalls) is provided as-is and may not reflect current conditions.
• We are not liable for any damages resulting from your use of the app or reliance on AI-generated content or third-party data.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Homi and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Homi at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
